Started in 2019, Soff Toss is the duo of producer/instrumentalist Styles Munson and guitarist/bassist Jake Gates. They reside in Sacramento, CA. Planned to be a mixtape going in, the forthcoming self-titled project is a collaborative effort between the duo and the community around them. Many of the songs feature different singers and additional musicians, but the throughline is apparent and pleasantly cohesive. More fun facts include being in a second (rock) band together, of which Gates fronts—a fourpiece called Blonde Star Wig started in late 2021.
