Nashville and Backbones are six guys and a girl from Rimini, with their feet in the sand and their heads across the ocean. Active since 1999 as "Nashville Acoustic Trio" they published some live recordings and in 2010 released "Voices Inside My Head: An Acoustic Renditions Of The Police". Their first recorded work of unpublished songs, “HAUL IN THE NETS”, was released in 2012. 2015 sees the release of their second collection of unpublished tracks “CROSS THE RIVER”; an invitation rather than just a simple title. An exhortation to fearlessly cross the numerous boundaries of everyday life, obstacles and limits imposed by society, and at times by ourselves. And it is exactly this that NB have set their sights on doing with this second album: to cross the boundaries of genre and overcome the labels that tend to stick in an almost morbid way. Happiness is, yes at home, but it is also in the discovery of unknown lands, rhythms and beats from faraway places, a leap on to a Caribbean beach and the melancholy of an exotic sunset. To travel and then return back into the comfortable and familiar arms of country rock and folk ballads that have their roots deeply embedded in an old Irish pub somewhere. Music that takes the mind on a journey across the globe.
