American, Christian singer/songwriter, Matt Young, dedicated his role in life to creating faith based music. Matt grew up in the church and spent his early years leading worship in his local youth group and always dreamed of being involved in the CCM industry. With influences like Skillet, Hangnail, Run Kid Run, Thousand Foot Krutch, he was determined to make an album one day with people involved with Tooth and Nail Records and the CCM family. In late 2012 he reached sent a few demos to Producer Nick Rad (guitarist for Hangnail) @ Skies Fall Studios in Kenosha WS. Along with Nick Rad, Skies Fall was also Co-Owned by Ben Kasica ( former guitarist of Skillet). For Matt, working with these guys on his first album was a turning point. The fire continued to grow. While gaining little success locally, he would spend the next few years would take the time to study music, lyrical writing, composition and performance. IN 2019 Matt and Nick Rad reunited at Wire n Vice Studios to create Matt’s 2021 singles “I Will Rise” and “Jumping Fences” The Early Years: Most of Matt's childhood was spent in and out of the hospital. Due to a traumatic brain injury from an automobile accident, epilepsy and heavy anxiety music became his biggest outlet. He struggled through his young adulthood and adult life with most things that come easy to most people. The one place he thrived was music. He saw continued to see this as his calling in life and continues to follow God's plan for him.
