Nick Byrd is an artist, musician, engineer, and producer living in East Nashville, TN. He periodically releases music of his own while also working with other artists. Originally from Charlotte, NC, Nick has spent over half his life writing, recording, and performing music. An extensive list of artists, projects, and experience stands behind Byrd as he continues his career. Nick is a stream-of-consciousness writer. Most of the songs that he releases are written all at once and structurally and fundamentally unmodified, only embellished upon. Thus, you are following a train of thought and truly coming along for a ride with every track. Since 2014, Nick has been releasing music as Nickybaby. It is a name taken from his childhood, and one he holds near and dear to his heart as a member of a large extended family, and as an free artist. Nick is the touring bass player for Bully (Subpop) and has been a part of the band’s ecosphere and close friends with Alicia Bognanno since 2019, after being invited to audition. He has been part of several tours and festivals with Bully, including support for Lord Huron, Jawbreaker, and Social Distortion’s 40th Anniversary Festival. He has also been a part of the band’s Shoebox video presented by Vans, live from Drkmttr, and more. With an aim of being one of the most prolific artists of his time, Byrd plans to write, record, and release music for a very long time in an enormous way, spanning multiple genres.
