Mr. Das One is an artist and producer from Denver, CO. Born Alexander Das in the late 80's, growing pains shaped his experiences and his music into what we hear today. After hopping around the west coast, he now resides in New York City. "From Denver to Hawaii to New York, my style and sound has become ever-changing from the influence of the many eclectic environments. Shit got crazy, times were rough, times were amazing and some things I don't recall at all." It is apparent in his music that his past plays a large role. The lyrics are poetic, almost story-like in ways. The instrumentals are raw and sound like 90's Hip-Hop mixtape beats. His delivery and voice portray a soul at ease from the stories and troubles of his past. "My dad always had jazz or classical music playing in the house. In his ridiculous old red '86 Honda Accord, it would be Linda Ronstadt or The Eagles cassettes on repeat. My friends hated that shit but I grew up around it so it stuck with me through the years. The first rap album I bought was Das EFX, only because it had my last name on the cover. 'Unforgettable.'
