Matt Walker's work is credited on many of albums, films and documentary scores, and among his peers he enjoys the status of a true cult legend. In 1997 with drummer, Ashley Davies they released there debut album “I Listen To The Night” introducing a brand of blues telepathy they used effectively live to mesmerise their then growing audience. Matt has toured with people such as Bob Dylan, Patti Smith, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Dirty Three, Nick Cave, Tony Joe White, Cat Power, The Black Keys and Joe Cocker. Matt has also written, recorded and performed with an eclectic bunch of outstanding artists including Archie Roach, Black Cab, Mick Harvey, Kim Salmon, Vika & Linda ...the list goes on. In recent years he has worked extensively playing guitar, songwriting and producing music with Tex Perkins. This has included international touring as well as countless national tours with Fat Rubber Band, The Man in Black (theatre show) and duo performances as well as recently being recruited to join The Cruel Sea. Matt can also be found regularly out front of Lost Ragas, his band who have received critical acclaim for their three album releases. Matt received two ARIA nominations for the album, Matt Walker and Ashley Davies - I Listen To The Night.
