Stu Gardner is a musician and composer known for for co-writing "Kiss Me", the theme song of The Cosby Show. He also produced the album A House Full of Love: Music From The Cosby Show, and was the musical director of Cos, The Cosby Show and its spin-off, A Different World. He also provided music for the sitcom “Living Single,” in the 1990s. Also during this time, he wrote and produced the theme music for the animated show, “Little Bill." As solo recording artist, he was signed to both Stax and Motown Records. His debut, "To Soul With Love," was released in 1968. His second, "Stu Gardner and the Sanctified Sound," came out in 1974. In the early 2000s, he self-released two albums by NGFOOT (Nine Guys From Out Of Town) in the early 2000s. These albums feature noted session musicians from his television work. In 2014, he began to release tracks from his archive of soul and gospel music. Stu has also released a string of singles in recent years, via Gardner Records and Super Disco Edits, featuring music from his archive of unreleased recordings.
