Jhon Douglas, born in Rondônia, in the Brazilian Amazon, is a versatile artist who moves between music, visual, and plastic arts. Self-taught, he began his journey on the streets as a skater, expanding into various forms of artistic expression with a distinctive authenticity. Since moving to Lisbon in 2016, Jhon has made a strong impact on the local cultural scene, performing on major stages and festivals, establishing himself as one of the most relevant Brazilian artists of today. His foray into music began in 2017, guided by the clear philosophy that "the artist doesn't bend to please you." This mindset is reflected in his first EP, MATO (2019). In 2022, he joined forces with the JungleBoys to release his debut studio album, Jhon Douglas JungleBoys & Maritacas. Now, in his latest EP, Artista Chinelo, released in April 2024, Jhon presents a provocative satire, divided into five acts, staying true to his authentic and to his bold and artistic voice.
