Phoenix-based Fairy Bones are powered by brash frontwoman Chelsey Louise, whose in-your-face delivery is the octane that powers this band on their crafty, well-produced songs, combining alternative pop-rock with influences from Pixies and Velvet Underground, as well as musical theatre and the 70’s/90’s. The band’s sophomore album—0% Fun (2018)—was a media-darling, praised by Impose who called it "unsettling, beautiful, and powerful all at once.” The singles—including fan-favorites No One Can Suffer Like I Can, 8 Ball, Hang Wit Da Boiz, and Killing Me—landed airtime on KWSS 93.9, ALT AZ 93.3, 98KUPD, NPR, and Sirius XM. The quartet has achieved remarkable milestones throughout their journey, sharing stages with acclaimed acts such as Highly Suspect (direct support 2016 tour), L7, Fuel, Rozwell Kid, Mother Mother, Starcrawler, Alien Ant Farm, Doll Skin, and Marcy Playground to name a few. In 2015, they were named the “Best Local Band” by Phoenix New Times, and their music has garnered recognition from Alternative Press, NPR, Impose, and Paste. They’ve released two full-length albums, Dramabot (2015) and 0% Fun (2018). After a decade of relentless dedication, Fairy Bones underwent a transformative lineup change in 2023, introducing Daphne Greene (lead guitar/vocals) to their ranks.
