The release of the new album „The World Inside“ follows the debut „Nemesis“ from 2018, consolidating what Formula X is known for: creative sounddesign, a blend between organic samples and synth sounds, energetic beats and a certain amount of dirt in the tracks while preserving a clean and transparent production. Whilst containing some underground vibes, the music opens up to the listener through clever arrangements, catchy hooks and expressive melodies. The 10 tracks of the album spread over different genres of electronic music, from dance/drum and bass to breaks and even hiphop, partially contain guest vocals, and thereby take the listener on an adventurous journey. The man behind the music is the Austrian producer and keyboarder Ulrich Schwab. Inspired by a multitude of artists and genres – from Pendulum to the gritty soundscapes of Massive Attack, from Jungle to Dubstep – he developed a style rich in diversity, that is meant to represent a contrast to the „uniformity“ that’s notable in some of today’s electronic music. The new single „Rain“ (Release: 06. December 2024) is a high-energy future rave track that combines infectious 4-to-the-floor beats, powerful synth arpeggios and the striking vocals of Julia Ivanova.
