Tom goes under the alias, Niine, a name so symbolic and a number so personally meaningful. Niine represents the number of letter ‘I’(s) in Tom’s actual name, something revealed only to those he is close to. Niine's musical journey started in more aggressive terms - screamo. He has been in countless different bands, supporting as a guitarist, bassist or vocalist. But it was his stint with electronic post-hardcore band, Aquila Vasica, as the lead vocalist that propelled him to pursue his own solo career. Exchanging his screamo-nurtured vocals for one that’s soulful, poppy and R&B-like, Tom takes a leap of faith into a foreign genre as Niine. Influenced by Korean Rap and R&B, lo-fi sounds, trap, and an insatiable M O O D, Niine is a self-produced artist who'd developed his own smooth, chill, R&B for the inevitably unproductive, sad, or lazy days.
