Festive, holiday-themed supergroup Northern Light Orchestra feature vocalists and musicians from a wide array of pop, hard rock, and heavy metal projects, including Winger, Survivor, Slaughter, Whitesnake, Kansas, Kiss, Alice Cooper, and Grand Funk Railroad, just to name a few. Similar in style to the Yuletide pomp and circumstance/laser light show-driven Trans-Siberian Orchestra, the project yielded its first fruit in 2009 with the release of The Spirit of Christmas. Celebrate Christmas was issued the following year, with the Night Before Christmas dropping in 2012 and Star of the East arriving in 2017, the latter of which was released via Megadeth bass player David Ellefson's EMP label. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
