Nature Studies, Vol. 9: Life Undersea

Biography

Geoff Whitehorn was born in 1951. He began playing guitar at the age of 11. His first real band formed in 1973 -- a group called If. He released a solo album, entitled Whitehorn, the next year. 1975 saw Whitehorn touring with Maggie Bell. He joined the group Back Street Crawler (later known just as Crawler) in 1976. He remained with that group until they broke up in 1979. His next move was to the Shortlist. He stayed with that group from 1979 to 1988 and recorded ten albums with them during his tenure. 1990 saw the release of his second solo album, Geoff Who. He also joined Bad Company that same year, staying with them until 1991. After leaving that group, Whitehorn moved on to Procol Harum. This affiliation has not, however, prevented him from undertaking other projects. In fact, in 1994 he released another solo album, Big in Gravesend. He also joined up with Roger Daltrey that same year. Add to that the fact that he has been playing with Paul Rodgers since 1974, doing multiple albums with Roger Chapman, and did a show with the Who in 1996, and one can easily see how busy this man really is. ~ Gary Hill, Rovi
