Mark writes mainly about nature & the human condition. His orchestral works have been performed in The Czech Republic, Budapest Hungary, Bulgaria, Sydney Australia, & had pieces included at a concert at Carnegie Hall. When not composing Mark's other passion is his KOI pond & Japanese bonsai collections. He has written 4 volumes of piano music, "Reflections & Recollections" Volumes 1, 2, 3 & 4. Many of these have also been scored for chamber orchestra & have been recorded by The Janacek Philharmonic & The Budapest Symphony Orchestra. Orchestrally Mark writes mainly Symphonic Suites & Symphonic Poems, which have enjoyed performances in Budapest ,The Czech Republic, Zagreb & Bulgaria & one performance at Carnegie Hall. Some of his Symphonic Poems have also been scored for concert band also, of which some were performed at Verbruggen Hall at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, notably Symphonic Poem, "The Passing" & "The Fanfare Suite's" 4 movements. Although Mark does most of his composing on the piano he has worked closely for many years with orchestrator & fellow Australian Mark Saliba. They also co wrote a ballet ODON, based on the music & themes in Mark McEncroe's Symphonic Suites No. 1 & 2, A Modern Medieval Tale. The ballet had its world premier at Stara Zagora in Bulgaria.
