Raised in a musical family – his father was a great lover of jazz and classical music, his mother, a blues and zydeco bass player – Guerin began playing bass at 11. While studying Marketing at Southern University, Guerin joined jazz educator Alvin Batiste’s Band, The Jazztronauts. Guerin has toured and performed with legendary musicians George Benson, Allen Toussaint, Dr. John, Marcus Roberts, and Paul Gilbert. As a member of the Marcus Roberts Trio, Guerin performed with the Berlin Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony, the Chicago Symphony, and New Japan Philharmonic. Guerin toured Europe with Paul Gilbert in 2019, and the Marcus Roberts Trio in 2022. His Grass Roots album from 2019 was critically acclaimed.
