Dan Lissvik (aka Atelje ) is a Swedish artist, musician, producer, and remixer known for founding the Balearic music project Studio as well as co-founding the Gothenburg-based Service record label. Both Studio and Service were officially launched in 2001 with a series of singles that blended new wave-influenced indie rock with Afro-beat, dub, and Krautrock influences. In 2006, Studio released their debut full-length, West Coast, on the Information label. The album featured six extensive, heavily textured slow disco cuts that sometimes resembled New Order lounging at Ibiza. The disc was a huge critical success, appearing on many year-end best-of lists. Dan Lissvik has produced albums and singles by pop and indie dance artists such as Taken By Trees, Young Galaxy, The Embassy, CEO, and Lake Heartbeat . He also remixed singles by Karin Dreijer's Fever Ray, HAIM, The 1975, Foals, Two Door Cinema Club, Tove Styrke, INVSN, Korallreven, La Roux, Chad Valley, and several others. In 2014, Dan Lissvik released an experimental downtempo album titled Meditation under the name Atelje on VEX (Vinyl Export). In 2015, Lissvik released a neo-disco single titled "Shuvit!" on the Smalltown Supersound label. The following year, he made his full-length debut for the label with Midnight.
